General Election: November 5th, 2024
I am a 24 year old resident of Bryant, Arkansas who sees the need for change locally, statewide, and nationally. Originally from Northeast Arkansas, I was raised by a single mother for close to half of my childhood on her teacher's salary alone. After moving to Conway for school in 2017 then graduating a few years later with Bachelors Degrees in political science and public administration, I moved with my lovely wife to Bryant to start our life together.
Having lived through the experience of growing up with a single mother, then watching my stepfather be laid off from his unionized workplace and have to fight for disability resources after being diagnosed with Parkinson's, I understand the struggles of everyday Arkansans. I have dedicated my life and my career to the field of public service and to fighting for the improvement of all of our lives. I am a founding member and former president of the Central Arkansas Young Democrats, founder and organizer of the Saline County Library Alliance, and proud Chair of the Democratic Party of Saline County. I hope to bring all of that experience with me to the Quorum Court as the next Justice of the Peace for Saline County District 5.
I am running for office for a number of reasons, but the most important one is to be the representation that I feel we all deserve. Arkansans, particularly those of us in rural counties, are often forgotten or outright disregarded by our elected officials, even locally. We ALL deserve elected officials who will fairly and adequately address the needs of their constituents instead of collecting a paycheck at the expense of their neighbors' suffering.
Anyone who has attended a Quorum Court meeting has seen at least one JP at a time sitting on their phone during public comment, or even outright arguing with residents. Even beyond that, certain marginalized groups are often forgotten here in Saline County, and some are even vilified by their own elected representatives. 13 elected Republicans clearly do not represent the will of all Saline County residents, and I will bring that diversity of thought to the table.
